Small Business Exchange
In 1978 Small Business Exchange founders, Gerald Johnson and Valerie Voorhies, were faced with the daunting task of manually updating and maintaining the thousands of rolodex cards generated from their lumber business. In a truly visionary decision, they made the move to digitize that information and store it on a Vector computer (running fms80 operating system). That was the humble beginning of one the oldest online legacy databases in the nation. Over the past 28 years, SBE has continually updated its technology to keep up with the marketplace. Today this database contains detailed information on over 500,000 buyers and sellers records, featuring 85 fields of information each.
