Institute for Geophysics
The University of Texas at Austin Institute for Geophysics is a leading academic research group in geology and geophysics. Founded in 1972 by geophysicist/oceanographer, Maurice Ewing, it conducts geophysical investigations of the history, structure, and dynamics of the earth′s crust and of earthquake phenomena.
