CCA

Public and Educational Programs at the CCA seek to provoke discussion and debate, and to engage the public actively in issues relating to the role of architecture in society. Guided Tours of exhibitions, the building, and the garden introduce visitors of all ages to the CCA. Educational programs offer a range of activities for school children and weekend workshops for families. Public programs include conversations with architects and walking tours, as well as Thursday Evenings at the CCA, when lectures, colloquia, film programs, roundtable discussions, and gallery talks explore current exhibitions and research themes for a wider public, students, scholars, and professionals. Recurring events include the annual Fall CCA Music Festival, which presents unique contemporary chamber works related to major exhibitions and interpreted by members of the Montréal Symphony Orchestra; the Mellon Lecture Series offered through the Visiting Scholars Program; the annual CCA Charrette organized in conjunction with schools of architecture in Canada. The CCA collaborates with other institutions on events such as the annual International Festival of Films on Art (IFFA) and the Arion Concert Series held at the CCA.
