Welcome to the Mandragoratango.com, the internet home for the Mandragora Tango Collective and it's Bandleader, Bob Barnes! We want this to be the first blog dedicated to tango music, rather than dance. (We're all crappy dancers, anyway). This site serves 2 purposes: it's both a band website and a blog about Tango and related musics. You can read about Mandragora, download our sheet music, listen to our demos, and download MP3s of some of our favorite performers. And since this is a blog, you can make comments on anything you read here. Enjoy!

Tango Orkestret is the collaboration of five young Danish musicians who, since 1989, have explored the musical universe of modern tango, turning to Astor Piazzolla and the 'new generation' in Argentinian music as a main source of inspiration. Four of these musicians were educated at the Danish Conservatory of Rhythmic Music, and guitarist Palle Windfeldt has furthermore spent three months in Argentina, studying the tango in its native surroundings as well as playing with local musicians.
